Q1: Is it illegal or against TikTok’s terms of service to sign up without Google Play?
A1: No. TikTok distributes its software across multiple certified app ecosystems globally, including Huawei AppGallery, Samsung Galaxy Store, and direct browser endpoints. Using alternative installation channels violates no user policies.
Q2: Why does the app show an account creation error when I try to verify my birthday?
A2: This error typically occurs when the client fails to render an anti-bot challenge due to missing WebView components or blocked Google safety APIs. Registering your date of birth through a standard desktop or mobile web browser completely bypasses this check.
Q3: Will push notifications work on a phone without Google services installed?
A3: On Huawei devices running HMS, push notifications route through Huawei’s push kit if the application was sourced from AppGallery. On custom ROMs lacking GMS or microG, notifications will not arrive in real time unless the client is actively running in the background.
