The story centers on an anonymous letter delivered during a high-society funeral in an affluent coastal town. The note contains five words: You deserve to know everything. What begins as a personal quest into an apparent suicide unspools into a web of institutional extortion, illicit offshore accounts, and generational blackmail.
The screen adaptation diverges from typical whodunits by establishing unreliable narration across alternating episodes. One chapter presents events strictly through Dobrev's analytical, suspicious lens; the next reframes those same interactions through Wesley's guarded, manipulative perspective. Directed by acclaimed indie thriller directors and scripted by writers seasoned in prestige cable drama, the production strips away melodrama in favor of razor-sharp dialogue and pervasive psychological tension.
